Allentown Symphony Association has received a $750 Performance Grant from the Women's Philharmonic Advocacy, in support of the ASO April concert (which includes the Ode to Joy Fanfare, and our April 2016 concert, featuring the Celebration Overture by Ellen Zwilich.
Allentown Symphony Orchestra, Diane Wittry, music director, in Allentown, PA, has been selected as the 2014 winner of The American Prize in Orchestral Performance, in the professional orchestra division. The orchestra was selected from applications reviewed this summer from all across the United States. The American Prize is a series of new, non-profit competitions unique in scope and structure, designed to recognize and reward the best performing artists, ensembles and composers in the United States based on submitted recordings.
